About The Event

Directly from the promoters typing....

"Hello again and welcome to another edition of the yearly, randomly-named, short track series, held by MTBNJ. I am going to get into the weeds immediately for those of you who have done this before, in bullet form below. These are the items you will want to know about up-front. Additional general information can be found below.

This year we will have a food vendor. Mountain Man Chili will be on-location for all 3 races. You can read the press release here.

Due to the nature of the weather, we cannot offer refunds for these races. If we get snowed out for #1, I can transfer you to #2. Same with #2 to #3. But if we lose the whole series, like we did last year, I can't refund your entry fee as this is a cost that we can't absorb. To repeat, there are no refunds!

Kids race free. This is not different than last year but we want to make sure we call it out.

Everything else is the same.

Wait no, the name of the race. This year's series has been named after our friend and long-time supporter, Dave Taylor, who may or may not be here. It is also a Cheech & Chong reference.

If you are looking for more info, read on!

What: Here is our description from years past:

"Short track racing! If you don't know what this is, imagine the following: Take a 1.3 mile long course, a bunch of your best friends, a mountain bike, 30-40 minutes, pain, fun, pain, sweating, swearing, and maybe even a little stupidity. Put it in a blender and you have....short track racing."

Kids still race for free - this is being sponsored by an Anonymous Sponsor, YAY BIKES!

What you see is what you get. It's spring. We're all here to bust ass and get faster. Plus we always have great homemade medals and the winners usually get beer. And this year there's chili!"
